“Unidentified developer”? Here's how to open
Peekoo isn't Apple-notarized yet, so the first launch needs a one-time manual approval — completely safe. After that it opens normally. Pick the steps for your macOS:
- Double-click Peekoo. When the “can't be opened” alert appears, click Done.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to the note about Peekoo and click “Open Anyway”.
- Confirm with Touch ID or your password — it opens.
- Find Peekoo in your Applications folder.
- Control-click (or right-click) it → choose Open.
- In the dialog, click Open once more.
You only do this once — after that, just double-click to launch.
How do I make my own pet?
Open Peekoo, click the paw icon in the menu bar → New Pet, and upload a photo. Your pet is ready in about a minute.
Is Peekoo free?
Free to start — the built-in pet works right away. Pro (one-time or subscription) unlocks every move, multiple pets and unlimited regeneration.
Is my photo private?
Yes. Your photo is used once to create your own pet, then it's never uploaded again, published, reused, or sold.
