Privacy Policy

Peekoo ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Peekoo desktop app and this website, how it's used, and what we don't do.

1. What we collect

• The photo you choose to upload to generate your pet.
• In-app settings (name, identity, affection, behavior toggles), stored only on your own computer.
• The email you enter at checkout — used only to deliver and recover your activation code, never for marketing.
• An anonymous device identifier at activation — used to enforce one-code-per-device; it contains no personal information.
• Aggregate, cookie-free website counters — which page was viewed, which language, and roughly where the visit came from (e.g. a search engine). These are plain counters: no cookies, no IP addresses, no profiles, and nothing that could identify you.
• We do not require an account, and do not collect your name, contacts, or location.

2. How your photo is used

Your photo is relayed through our server to an AI image-generation service solely to create your pet's images. The server processes it transiently during generation and does not keep it. The resulting images are stored locally on your device. Your photo is never published, sold, or used for anything beyond generation — including model training.

3. Local storage

Your pets, settings, and activation status are kept in local folders on your computer (macOS / Windows). Uninstalling the app or deleting those files removes them.

4. Payments & activation

Purchases are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. After payment you receive an activation code to unlock the app. Subscriptions (monthly/annual) are managed by Stripe and can be canceled anytime from the Manage page. On our server we only keep the mapping between your code, device, and subscription status.

5. Third-party services we rely on

Google Cloud (AI generation & server hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (activation-code emails), and Cloudflare (website hosting). Each processes data only as needed for the purpose described above.

6. What we don't do

We don't sell any of your data, run ads, or track you across sites.

7. Children

Peekoo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page.
